Intentional Living - Part 1

godly perspectives

One common struggle we have seen believers falling into is “going through the motions”. Can you imagine living in such a vibrant relationship with God where you never feel that again? We are believing that the abundant life Jesus offers opens the possibilities to an overflowing life that never runs dry.

The one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so–not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer–he will be blessed in what he does.

James 1:25

There are a few traps that people often get caught in,

  1. Forgetting to look intently into the perfect law of freedom (which is the gospel).
  2. Forgetting to continually do so.

When you continually and intently look to the gospel, you will see your sins removed and his righteousness given to you freely, you will experience God giving you the approval you’ve always longed for and calling you his son/daughter. Everything you do will be from your identity and not for your identity.

You can be extremely joy-filled in all circumstances. When you look to his gospel, you will see his amazing love and your heart will respond to that. You can live from a place of intimacy if you continually and intently look to what he has done for you and allow him to do what he wants in you. If you understand and choose to continually do this, you won’t be “going through the motions”, you will be like the man James speaks of who is, “blessed in what he does.”
