How To Present Yourself To God
In Him and through faith in Him we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence. Ephesians 3:12
God has already made the way for us to have boldness and confidence when we approach him.
It’s up to you to receive and grow in understanding of what he accomplished, and why that gives you boldness and confidence.
How many believers feel like they are exposed and not good enough to the point where they are hindered from drawing near to God? Our brothers and sisters, this should never be so! Let it be clear that we are not talking about approaching God through our own confidence or merit, but through humility and faith in Christ.
Take a look at this verse…
“…let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22
- We must choose to draw near.
- Our hearts must be sincere and genuine, not thinking our time with the Lord is a duty.
- Come with full assurance of faith in who Christ is and what he’s done.
- Know your heart has been sprinkled clean from a guilty conscience.
- Know your body has been washed with pure water.
The Lord has opened the door for you to have this full confidence as you approach him. Ask him to give you greater understanding and clarity on how you can grow in this area.
Take a moment, imagine your relationship with God being one that is filled with confidence and boldness through faith in Christ. He paid the highest price to make this available for you and his grace can empower that to become real.
