Grace and Peace Multiplied

apostolic prayers

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:2

Peter opens his second letter with this powerful  greeting, which contains a brief, yet rich prayer over the believers. This short passage can be easily overlooked, yet there is deep insight to glean for the sincere seeker of truth.

Peter is praying that God’s favor and empowering presence would continue to multiply in believers as they grow more in knowing who God truly is!

Along with multiplied grace, he also prays for peace (which is perfect well being and freedom from fears) to multiply in believers as they increase in the full and personal knowledge of Jesus.

God’s grace and peace is endless! Praise the Lord! Grace and peace can be multiplied to us as God’s children the more we personally know the Lord and understand accurately who he is. His grace and peace are available because of the finished work of Christ and they work in believers lives to help bring transformation and shape Christ in each disciple.

If you are longing to experience more grace and peace in your life, we encourage you to pursue a deeper and more intimate relationship with the Lord and seek to know him more.

May you come to a deeper, fuller and more personal knowledge of God and experience the multiplication of grace and peace in your life for God’s ultimate glory!
