godly perspectives intimacy with god overcoming struggles

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life
Matthew 6:25

Worry is a bondage and burden that you were never meant to carry. You were made for a loving trust relationship with God where your heart is light and your joy is full. Temptations to worry will arise, but in Christ you stand firm on the promises.   Your mind is guarded with the helmet of salvation, your eyes are fixed on him and your life is yielded and empowered by his Spirit. Overflowing peace and rest fills your cup.

Do you think Jesus worried? Was he teaching something that he wasn’t walking out? Of course not. He lives inside of every believer and desires to empower them to fulfill this command. Therefore, through his strength you can step into more of the fullness of Christ where you live a life abounding with faith and freedom from the pattern of worry.

God, I thank you for giving me every reason to trust you and for filling me with all of the power I need to never worry again. Thank you that I don’t have to identify with worry, but I can identify when worry tries to come against me and I can replace it with your truth.
